well I have the problem of (mainly when cold) my revs falling when stopping and stalling the car, also the massive flat spot at the beginning of the accelerator pedal (regardless of revs)

was thinking maybe a temp sensor, then it dawned on me the fact the fan is on a manual switch, apparently the previous owner did it because it never came on, could the temp sensor for the fan be related to my problems?

can anyone confirm whether the temp sensor that engages fan is the same as what the ECU gets its reading from?

no. its on the radiator that goes to a relay.

The ecu reads it from a sensor on the thermostat housing. not related at all.
