Very nice! The interior is amazing! Reminds me of one of those Dracula ice lollys you used to get... black ice lolly on the outside, and red jelly in the middle!

Looks in really good condition, and the number plate rocks. That orange grille thing at the front though... is that standard? if so, I'd paint it black, because it looks like a boy racer add-on from Halfords... sorry!

Are you on crack?!?

Thats the most appealing feature and what seperates it from boy racer add-ons! :cus:

This is a BRM. British Racing Motor.
The British Racing Green paint WITH the orange grille is the most important link between this Rover 200 BRM and the old BRM F1 cars. Therefore it is a sin to get rid of that orange grille.

Brilliant BRM btw, Martin! :rocker:

:omg: What the hell are you talking about? The orange mouth is the best thing about the BRMs! Even when some people paint it silver I think it is a travesty!

Thanks guys for the kind comments. I think a site like mine was needed to keep the BRM alive! There isnt any other BRM sites like it.

Bar the yahoo chat group. The official 'owen club' has almost died too. :(

That car is 100% standard mate.

The orange mouth harks back to the BRM racing cars of years gone by.

Martin,

you don't happen to be on the moss side industrial estate in leyland now and again do you? I've seen one parked up a couple of times on my way into work.
I've got the janspeed exhaust (vi), its probably a good choice if you want to keep it standard looking. It actually fits properly, unlike most i've seen, and i've been asked a few times if it is standard or not. Can be a bit boomy on motorway runs, esp with a bit of weight in the car, but otherwise i like it.

Nearly had one myself. Lovely car. Opted for the 25gti same engine etc but not as good looking. My 25 looks like an old farts car but it only had 28,000 miles.

yep and a shame they dont realise it as its about the only R3 car that would get me spending as im now after something better but the rear axle isnt the nices on R3's when lowered so indepenet rear is now a big selling point for me get the nice ride but for a BRM id change my mind

Parkers is cheap but there are still going for a lot more. Mine cost 2,600 with 44k, one owner from new. Bought it 4 months ago.

You can buy them for 1500-1800 all day long around here. Most are under 50k as well.

They always get advertised at 2800 or similar, don't sell for months and then go for peanuts.

I know of 4 that have sold in the last 6 months within 30 miles of me and none have reached £2k.

Looks nice

I see a nice looking BRM most mornings on my way to work, registration no V***BRM, on Wortley Road in Rotherham.

VERY nice looking cars, even better in the flesh.

Nearly crashed into a bus stop the first time I saw it coming down road towards me.
