Does anyone know why MGR bother to publish price lists with their accessory brochures?

All of my local MGR dealers charge way more than the published price. They simply look at the Rover prices with a confused look on their face !

The latest Rover accessory brochure states that a 'fully fitted' painted rear spoiler for a Rover 400/45 is £250, yet both Foxfield Rover (Wigan) and Burnden Park Rover (Bolton) quoted over £320 !

Oh god, someone's having fun with the smilies ;)

I've spotted the difference between what dealers charge and the accessory price before now as well, one reason not to use a dealer. Except those who stick to the quoted price, like Dr Dave says!

It all comes down to the hourly rate charged by the dealer...the default value used by the accessory pricing guide is £38/hr.

Dealers with a higher labour rate will have correspondingly higher accessory prices than those in the accessory booklets :buh:

I deal with SGL Chorley, they also have a branch in Preston. I have found them to be extremely helpful, polite and just generally good.

You could maybe give them a try!
