I think he thinks the 'I' has fallen off his SDI badge, but its not just the 'I' thats missing. The intercooler is too.

As for the BMW engine.

I could be wrong with all this though.

Anothe Ebay gem who thinks all rovers have BMW and Honda engines. Its an SD engine, i.e. mechanical fueling, no intercooler and 86bhp. Also, manual windows shows its not an SDi too!

Not sure about the leaves either, looks like been standing for a while...

Oh and Rover engine ;)

He/she is going to be even busier with my questions!!!!

Why does it say rover on the engine cover? You say this is a BMW engine.

You state this is a SDI version, where are the intercooler hoses for the intercooler Where is the intercooler? The electric windows? etc.

What you have is in fact the non-intercooled 'D'or 'SD' version. I think you ought to change the description to show it's true identity etc.

If, i do not get a satisfactory reply or the auction is not amended, i will be reporting this auction to ebay for the misdescription of the goods for sale.

All the best

Wonder if i will get a reply?

Cheers

Cool steering wheel. Ive seen light coloured interiors before, but that steering wheel is new on me i think. I like it.
Honest mistake? Id agree if it didnt actually say SD clearly on it, and the guy has obviously researched it in some way to come up with BMW engine (they fitted BMW engines to other rovers after all) so im suspicious.

I got this reply today:

"Hello
Sorry, but I was in Spain and can't answer. No TAX and MOT. Car mechanic told me about engine."

So I re-told him about BMW engines only being in later rover cars and 75 series at that. Also that his car is only a SD.

Wonder if he'll listen and change the description.....

Anyone else with a reply?

No reply yet from my questions.

The BMW engine was only in the 75, not 200/25/400/45.

I've had another reply, lol.

"Hi Maybe You have wright so I've changed title of the auction. My apologise Alex"

So he's changed title a little but not to something completly accurate, at least its no longer a BMW engine, just has an invisable intercooler. :err:

I'm still trying to explain the non-intercooler differences. :slap:

Might be thread ressurection, but he's got a point.
