Hi everyone go easy on me this is my first question!

I've got an mStation in-car MP3 Player that i wish to fit to the car (an R860 Stereo), ideally i'd like to put the mStation in the boot with the CD Changer.

The MP3 player requires 12V power and connects to an FM Modulator, also requiring 12v power, i feel confident I can make all the cable runs myself having worked on other cars, but my question is where should i draw my power from, I cannot see an easily accessible route from the engine to the cabin, can anyone suggest a route or an easier place to draw power from?

The power input for the mStation appears to be fused, the FM Modulator however does not.

Any help you guys can offer would be much appreciated.

Thanks
CJ

A nice easy one...

Take a feed from the ignition switch lead on the back of your head unit and run it to were you need it; use the same feed for your FM modulator.

If you still have the factory fit head unit I am not shore of the lead colure, easy to test with a cheep meter. But it is Red on all after market units.. Yellow is constant live so do not use this.
