What would you say is the expected oil consumtion of a 1.4 k-series with 56,000 on the clock?

A litre per 1000 miles... presumable this depends on the type of driving you do?... I mean a thousand miles around town, is v.different to 1000 miles on the M-Way...

If mine used a litre per 1000 miles, I'd go from max to min on the dipstick every week... which seems to be a bit knackered to me...

Does the same apply to diesels?, or should mine use less? It uses 1/2 litre every 5000 miles at the mo...

1000miles / litre! Wow!

I'd be suprised if mine used that amount in 12,000 miles...
