I have got a MK1 zs 120 hatchback with the 16" hairpin wheels.

i was just wondering if the outside diameter of the 17" wheels with tyre fitted is the same as the 16" as the tyre on the 17" is a lower profile.

I want the 17 inch wheels but i dont want to effect the speedo on the car!

It will not affect the speedo as the 17" straights were optional extra on the 120. As long as you go for 205/45/17, you'll be fine.
