Piece of ****..

Pump the bulb on the fuel line with the bleed nipple on top of the fuel filter weeping. Keep pumping till no bubbles appear then tighten.

Switch on the ignition till the fuel pump whirls but dont start. Keep pumping the bulb unitil it goes stiff. oh er missus..

Once I had done all this as per Haynes manual mine started 1st time.

Hi,

i agree as in earlier post.
Changed my fuel filter last week used same method as listed above and in haynes manual, easy job to do and no problems.
Use a slow gentle motion on bulb allowing it to fill with fuel dont rush it.
Might help to ensure that all pipe connections are nice and clean before disconnecting anything first as you dont want any dirt/dust contamination in fuel system.
Also put a large cloth under filter before bleeding to catch the diesel fuel as its vented.

cheers

I notice you mention a haynes manual. Is there a seperate diesel one,or does one manual cover petrol and diesel models.
