After cleaning my beloved 420d last weekend I was horrified to discover that the performance was way down. Initial thoughts were blocked injectors? turbo had it? Just would not pull. I ran it like this till today when I found that I'd swapped the front mats round and there was a thickness of mat under the pedal restricting the travel. I was very suprised at the difference such a small amount of travel made.
