I've been wondering on the differences between the two engines, now I've got used to the speed of my 120+ I really want to make it that bit quicker. Which mods can I add to my engine to get that extra bhp?:D :D :D :D

It's gonna be difficult - the '160 motor uses VVC technology whereas the '120 has a conventional valve arrangement.
Coupled with a different management system, it would be difficult (expensive) to increase the power to 160 spec

Well, you can. A number of Specalists do a 120 to 158 conversion for the MGF and by all accounts very successfully too. They just tune up the engine as opposed to bolting on the VVC mechanism with some head / valve work.

I'll try and dig out the people who did it and post back with the company.

Yes, but head & valve work isn't going to be cheap and what about the warranty implications?

Ah true, I was thinking about if the car's out of warrenty, which of course, it wouldn't be. Oops!

Best you can do cheaply is the uprated throttle body and a performance air filter. Sports exhaust maybe...
