The cars a 99 420sldi and i hear that the maf mainly controls the egr and car still drives fine so I'm not too bothered about buying a new one or should I be? Also unplug and block the vacuum pipe to the EGR valve. It'll run fine so long as the car doesn't go into limp home mode. Try it and see. The MAF sensor doesn't control the fueling at all on the earlier 200/400/600's. kamal 19-07-2006, 23:53 The cars running fine so far but will try it anyway. E_T_V 20-07-2006, 07:59 The MAF sensor on the 200/400/600 only controls the EGR system (hence why I said to unplug the EGR valve). Otherwise it doesn't do anything else.
