well firstly have you tried autotrader or ebay for online options?

and may I ask how much you are looking to pay for an SDi? of course the more you have, the younger examples you may find with a lower mileage.

The L-Series diesel really is bulletproof.

ive emailed that seller for pictures, but after either the 220sdi or if i can t get a decent one, a 306 DTurbo

ive had 3 different 306Dt's now and they all ben ok, ranging from 90k - 126k.

would like a 220sdi which sounds much more smoother and has more power.

good thing with the 306s were that they were galvanised and dont tend to rust, and interior is much more comfortable, especially in the DTurbo spec.

saying that, i wouldnt say no to a good sdi

id sell ya mine but id want more than 1k :p haha

Dturbo are not too bad, especially after a bit of tweaking

even a fettled dturbo would struggle :p hehe unless it had serious work done :| then id probably have my pants round my ankles haha

The D Turbo is surprisingly good overall, with average performance credentials, why do you think it received critical acclaim?

Peugeot wouldnt have created the D-Turbo similar to XSi trim or Citroen wouldnt have created the ZX DTurbo Volcane if they thought there was no potential to make inroads into/or develop a small family sports diesel market.

Have you thought about the 3 door model? They are quiet rare though as they were only produced between sep 97 until end of production in 99.

My Spec:
3 door, brooklands greeen, factory fitted 15" alloys, factory fitted ABS with rear discs, 89.5k miles, elec windows, elec sun roof, alarm imobiliser, 2 keys and 2 remote fobs, front fog lamps, velour seats with ash grey interior.

In my nearly 4 year ownership its been serviced every 6 months and has only cost me servicing bills and normal wear and tear items. I have full service history including from the first owner.

I found my current car on auto trader but also check on fish 4 cars and the local papers every Thursday.

Electric windows + sunroof. Only done 86k been very well looked after. In great condition inside and outside is fine except the drivers side rear arch is starting to bubble slightly - but i was going to sort that myself if i sold it or not.

This is a genunie car and £1000 is too cheap im afraid. Let me know if your interested and I could send you a photo. Im in the Isle of Man at the moment so liverpool would be your nearest place.
