hi alldoes anybody know the best way to check the wire going to the no.1 injector as i am still having problems starting, i have changed the fuel filter, glow plugs, glow plugs relay, oil, oil filter and coolant so pretty much give it a good service. i also took it for an italian and still no joy.could it be the crank postion sensor if there is one or is there aby other sensor which might be knackered.paul
Please explain your starting problems in more depth?
Hot or cold or both? Performance okay?

in the mornig the car can take anything upto around 40 sec to start once started the performance is fine, once warm/hot the car starts straight away no problem.
It is most likely glow plugs or fuel pump timing.
Check that the glow plugs are actually operating when the key is turned on, (don't believe the light on the dash).

hii have checked the voltage going to the glowplugs and that seems to be fine, is there some sort of timing inside the fuel pump or is it all down to the belt that goes to the cam?should the priming bulb go soft once started?could it be a leak on the priming bulb or is it down to the fuel pump timing

Have you actually removed the glowplugs and tested them?
Its very rare for the timing to change as it would affect the performance in other ways as well.

i have just put in new glowplugs and relay, but i did have the bearing changed between the fuel pump and cam sprockets.
