Has anyone got a strut brace on their 25 or ZR?

I was wondering about getting one, but have only found them for the 200, are they similar? Would the 200 brace do the job?

Should do (IIRC) but be wary of fitting one to the ZR160 due to the VVC inlet plenum :eyes

Let us know how you get on :)

Got a Sparco strut on order from Demon Tweeks which is listed as being for R25. They've never done a ZR before so I'm taking it down either later this or prob next week for them to see if it's poss.

Will let you know the outcome.

Hi
Yes its possible - there is a lot of what seems to be snobbery between 200/25/ZR owners not knowing what will fit betweent them.

The front suspension arrangement is identical so yes a strut brace for a 200 or 25 will fit a ZR. In fact - the same one even fits the older Mk2 200's.

At the end of the day the ZR is just a done up 200.

Nice to see something is actually available for the 200/25/ZR mod-wise!

Yes, the front end of all 200/25/ZR except the first mk1 200 (213) are identical. I tried Demon tweeks for my strut-brace (a nice adjustable alloy one) but they said it wouldn't fit as they only made them for left hand drive models and that the brake fluid reservoir would fowl it. Eh? He didn't even ask me what model or engine, call them automotive technical specialists bah. So I got one from Motobuild, looks nice too.

Does a strut brace noticably improve handling?

"Does a strut brace noticably improve handling?"

No, not unless the car was badly welded together in the first place.

All my opinion, anyway.

I'd challenge anybody to be able to detect the fitment of the aforementioned brace if they drove the same car without any prior knowledge of what's there.....it would make for an interesting experiment.
