my friend has a clio, (N reg) and it has developed a slight problem, when he breakes the indicator comes on (not flashing, just a kind of yellow break light) im not sure where the problem is coming from, can circuits become mixed this easily?


any suggestions to a remedy as with the nights closing in he is getting worried!

Are you sure its not just the brake wear indicator. When you take the brake off the pad can move and break the circuit. Take the wheek off and chech how thick the pads are.

Could be a bad "earth" problem ! Check the "Earth" points on the back lights.
If that doesnt solve it check the brake pad wear sensor wiring isnt "earthing" out on the brake disc or hub.
