: Dent

Dave, regards the dent,

What should I be looking for when I pick up the car. Obviously the usual things like runs in the paint, bits not attached properly etc.

Anything else I should keep a close eye on? I'm getting a copy of the 4 wheel alignment geometry report, what alarm bells would be ringing if there was something wrong here. (Not that I don't trust them, you understand, just that I want to make sure my pride and joy is perfect).

Should I expect a perfect factory finish on the paint, or is that expecting too much?

Cheers!:D

Make sure the paint finish is acceptable - factory finishes are attainable these days following repairs.

Make sure all the parts replaced do fit correctly and they are all present (I'm not joking!)

Check all panel gaps are even and are comparable to the other side of the car.

Other than that, try not to pick it up in the wet (difficult today, I know!!) and try to inspect it in natural light and not under flood or flourescent lights.

Hope everything works out for you:)

I should be picking it up in the morning (as long as they've got it back together by then!) so hopefully the weather will be a bit better by then!

I'd forgotten about checking panel gap, so it's probably a good job I asked!!! :)

Thanks for the help Dave!

Just take it carefully in your ZT, Nick, for after driving the 25 for a while, you are going to be very spoilt with the power of the ZT! :D
