Recently reserved the last "new" pearl black ZT 260 saloon from SMC, anyone out ther aged aged 43 with 60% no claims want to pass on their insurance premium cost per annum? I got quoted £326 by Direct Line which seems reasonable.. Cannot wait to pick up my 07 plate but need the insurance first!!!

Final question the VIN is 000241 which was manufactured in late 04 according to SMC. Any guru's out there can explain the reason for this batch coming in late from the MG Rover administrators, if so where they came from. SMC were insistant it had been stored indoors?

I had also heard this rumour, however I know the new 07 registration provided by SMC as I chose it today! ... cannot believe that they (SMC) are going to contravene legislation

£326 is very good longclose. I'm with DL for this year again. If you want to keep them low, alternate with another next year.

241 is an Q1 (April-ish) 04 car so SMC are slightly out. In door storage is very rare. I would put my money on external, sorry. There is a very easy way to find out if its an external storage car but if I tell you and SMC are reading this post they will know. Is your car an SE?

We just had a new member with 248 so you are not alone.

Cars after 56 need the certification from SVA before going onto the road. I guess SMC have had this done.

Either PM me or e-mail at mg.zt260@ntlworld.com and I'll help you out if you wish. Tim (The Two Sixties)

Hi Tim V8, thanks for the feedback, the car is not an SE as I wanted simplicity and the following option come as standard in creating an ear to ear grin ;-)

V8 soundtrack is all I need as my ICE

Navigation who cares in a V8 on an open road (apart from POI for garages to re-fuel)

Climate control, more to go wrong

Driver information Please dont scar the ****** out of me with the fuel economy

BTW Any ideas wht these cars were standing for so long, thought they would sell the early cars first?

The SE's sold better because of the higher spec. I still drive with my window down so know where you are coming from. MGR needed to keep their figures looking good so would produce and either store or pre-reg and store. A number became show room/halo cars, generally SE's. This is why I said majority would be outside, cheaper storeage costs and all that.
