Anyone knows where to download a free virus checker ???????

I have been using sophos

Sophos is about the best there is, so if you can continue to use it, then do. Obviously only if you can get the updates.

Otherwise look on www.download.com for free ones.

AVG is a very good free virus checker, it will update itself like norton if you schedule it. It also works on servers unlike norton etc

Norton AV works on servers perfectly well.

Obviously Microsoft ones like NT,Windows 2000, Windows 2003 server. I have had it running quite happily on all of these.

Oh OK, I couldn'nt get Norton 2002 to install on Win2K server, it threw up an error that said it could not be installed on this version of windows - maybe you've got a different version to me.....

You do need a server version. Although the sersonal edition can be hacked ;)
