I've got an ZR160 and it's done just over 3000 miles now.
My question is this, what's the idle speed of other memebers' cars ?
I haven't checked the spec yet but my car seems to idle around (at a guess 900rpm) ?
I think this seems a little high ?
My last car, a Honda CRX Vtec, was 650rpm, now I know the MGR is no Honda, but 900 seems a bit high ?

It is adjustable, but don't take the rev counter reading too seriously....it is only an indicator, not a scientific instrument.

Best drop it into your local dealer and have them check it..=P
