Some of my friends over on ad_uk are trying to organise a free advanced driving day in Wales.

These are free to attend.

The post is in the members area, so I'll copy & paste it here :

I've just got back from a rather fantastic blat around south/mid Wales(*), and discovered a suitable base for a driving day in Abergavenny.

So.... if I organised one, who would be interested? No date yet, but as it's an effort to get over there to find suitable routes, I want to make sure it's worth the effort first. Once the routes are done, they can be made available to anyone else who wants to rerun the day. Could be as soon as June, or as late as September (I'll probably avoid July/August to avoid the tourists/bikers).

I would also say that the most rewarding routes will be more suited to those able/prepared to share a car for a half day which gives time for the longer loops. Again if you are happy to do this (I don't necessarily mean with anyone - almost certainly it will be someone you've driven with before), please say so as I'll find some longer loops too.

(*) For anyone who's interested, the route was:
Home, Chepstow, Devauden, Monmouth, B4233, B4347 Newcastle, Ewyas Harold, B4348 Hay-on-Wye, A roads to Kington, B4355 Presteigne, Knighton, B4355 to just south of Newtown, A483 to Builth Wells, B4520 (Chapels road) to Brecon. At this point I was getting past my best, so trundled down the A40 to Abergavenny before getting back on the B roads to Usk and home.
