Since i have had the car i have always had to top it up with coolant (2 years) and am constantly finding and plugging leaks. Last week i fitted a new radiator, after this i pressure tested when cold and it lost 1lb in 2 hours which didn't seem too bad, but if i do 100 miles i need to put 1 pint of water in.

In addition to this (but i think is linked) on starting from cold it seems like it doesn't want to turn over very well. I swapped the battery, which made no difference. It almost seems it could be hydralicing i.e. water or oil in the cylinders. I have one of Rons chips, when i switched it off it started ok, but this might just be a coincidence.

In a weeks time i'm going on my holiday, so i need help quick! My wifes loosing faith fast!
