: zs costing me loads ! ! !

Around xmas i went through a puddle in my 02 plate zs 120+ which made the car misfire badly and made the engine management lght come on. since then its lived in my regular garage having various things done to it. first i had a dianostic test 35 quid. then a new injector which came up on the test 200+ quid. then found that ecu was broke ,2nd hand ecu 100 quid. still knackered ? ? ? running just as rough as before.

Now when i went into the garage to see what is going on we all had a look at it and it also needs new head gasket and the inlet manifold is leaking ? ? ?

Why is this car costing so much after it was maitenance free for years , everything is braking at once ! ! !

is it still worth fixing and if not how much is it worth not running right ? ?

Have they checked the wires that go to the big multiplug behind the engine (under inlet manifold, above gearbox)? Mine had a fault similar to this after heavy rain, turned out to be the coil feed wire from the ECU had chafed and was shorting out, can apparently kill ECU's and knacker the coil pack! :yikes:
Try wiggling the wires and see if the engine running improves (or in the case of mine the engine would die). It didn't switch the ECU light on on mine, which suprised me!

i have written everythign you have wrote down in my phone and ill speak to garage . does sound like that could be the fault , as when they changed ecu's it ran worse . this could just be due to the wire being moved whilst fitting it (or in your case you wiggling it) thanks a lot for help , really apreciate the help . . .

ill let you know what they say tomoz . . .
