My dad has a 45 and I hate the seats in it!!! They are a completely stupid shape for your back i cannot understand why they are designed like they are. My dad had a 400 before the 45 and it's seats where really comfy. What is Rover's problem? The ergonomics are just shoddy.

Anyone else hate the 45's seats?

I've just test driven a 45 today - loved the seats - never been so well supported - much better than the 25

The 45 seats are the same as those in the 75 and have always been highly regarded.

Well I dont like them. There is a ridge going across the back of them about 2/3 of the way up that digs into my back and my lower back isnt supported properly. You lot must have very strange backs if you like those seats.

Or is it your back? Spent too long slumping against that windmill - a few sheets to the wind with scrumpy?:D

lol :D

But seriously I have a very good back and rarely have problems with it. But those seats are infuriating on long journeys

I find the 45 seats supremely comfortable... they can be adjusted you know:D

I had a seat in them again today. it's the bit 2 third way up that hurts my back. It sort of dips in, and I can feel the vertibrae of my back want to go in with it. I dont have this problem with any other car seat, including my Mk3 200.

Have you got the lumbar support (yes I know it's lower down) in the wrong position such that your upper spine is distorted?

the seats are not comfy for tall people and i say it with the experince of two years owning such a car .

the car ceiling is too low and the seats seem to be out of place in this car taking much space making it clostrophobic...
well i like the leather but i think a lower seat is a must (for me)

Can't you adjust the seat height? I have mine on the lowest it will go because I'm quite tall and they are perfect! Besides, it feels much more sporty sitting low down :-)

Not sure if seat height adjustment is common across the range. I drove a 45 recently and found the seats to be superb. Only slight criticism I would have is that their size eats into rear space. However, if like me your back seats are rarely used, its a small price to pay.

Sorry but I just find the upright of the seat very poorly designed. There is not enough support for your lower back and they jut out at the top below your shoulders so the srch of your back isnt supported properly.

What do you mean by lumber support? I know you can alter the angle of the seat but all cars seats are like that! I find them absolutely terribley designed seats. My 216's seats are far more comfortable (less bulky too).

Hi Windy

The lumbar support is an adjustable pad which lines up with the lumbar region of your back (ie the curved in bit just above your coccyx!) - Adjusting it can make quite a bit of difference to your comfort.

Going to order my 45 today!!!!

Hey Richard

Just been in me dad's 45 again today and checked. The driver's seat has adjustable lumber support but the passenger seat doesnt. The driver's seat is miles more comfortable than the passenger one, which has vertually no lumber support at all. It's really uncomfortable on long journeys, for me anyway.:(

45 seats are baby 75 seats, you can see the similarities quite easily :)
