Dr Dave 09-02-2002, 21:56 The 75 is surely the best car MGR have made...it feels solid, is well screwed together (apart from those door sill kick plates!) and feels like a very solid car:) Surely the B*W influence played a part in this success but that can't be a bad thing? I know money is tight but Rover marketing (from brchures to tv ads) is a disgrace. If any other car company had launched the 75 it would have been 100 times more successful. The 75 (and 25/45) has been marketed badly ever since it's launch. Most people still don't know what it is ! The company is too concerned with the MG brand. Rover the 'core' brand is ignored. I know most dealers are frustrated by this too. MG is and always will be a niche brand. There is much more profit potential in the Rover range. You can be doing 95mph+ and not even realise it. The only similarity between the 400 and the ZS is that they look vaguely the same. They drive compleltly differently.
