well spotted, Andy!

What about the new Satria, then? It seems to share the front with the new Gen 2... I'm not sure if the car in the small colour pic is the same model. It would do a good 25 substitue...

I can't foresee Koenigsegg doing a deal with Proton.

However, Proton donated a Waja/Impian to a interesting engine project.
The company claimed that the engine's thermal efficiency is as high as about 50%! (When conventional ones are only +- 27%!)

What is it with all these Proton threads...let's just wait and see what happens eh, but I for one will not be buying any Rover badged Protons :cus:

Well, there must be something interesting for both companies to be in talks.

I think people who are digging a bit into Proton do it just to check what Rover would be able to get from a possible agreement with them. That doesn't mean that they want or not to buy rebadged Protons (that would be a different discussion).

If MGR are to deal with Proton, then I wish that they are strong and good enough as to benefit MGR. (It seems that they have new models developed, which Rover seriously lack. BTW they also have Lotus engeneering).

That's all on my part about all these Proton threads.

(I must reckon that perhaps I should have placed the thread in a different section, though - if that's what you mean, David)

Note: Can the moderator who moved the thread would leave a redirect next time they do so? Thank you.

This is funny.

Perhaps someday sooner than later these cars become part of MGR.

Anyway, thanks a lot David, for moving the thread to its right place.

but would you buy/have you bought a Rover badged Honda?

That grill/bumper looks nicely shaped fro a Rover badge!

Anyway, maybe it is more platform sharing - like the Golf/Leon/Octavia/A3 which juse the same platform but have different body styles.
