looks like theres gona be loads of us.

Today I had a nitemare. When i picked up my new zs 7 days
ago i didnt get the drivers hand book ect. and as im getting
a clifford put in they nead the dearming code to install it!
took me 5 hours of threataning to sue arnold clark and rover
to get the code, it also included a trip to the police station to
verify who i was. God i hate noobs like that. Not the police the
feckers who messed me about !!

gorrieman
06-04-2004, 09:25
arnold clark....:guns2:

Yep....I'll be there. Was hoping my mum would watch the kids, so me and the Mrs could get out on track...but she's going to the 'Theatre' ????? I should be on time for once, cos I'm not at work next week. Claire/Paul....is it OK to just decide on the night and pay if I am going on track....or are the places a bit full now?

Claire & Pauls Metros' say Lutti on the side....Col has a Metro...or maybe his BRM. Liam has a silver ZR...and you'll see his plate. ZR Chick has a silver ZR.

I will probably now be up in either a blue ZR or Red ZT.

And most people gather at the pits....or sometimes i'm at the hairpin.

me and the wife are now regretting not coming up ;) that would have been worth the £24 alone just to wind you up in the paddock after it. :p

bbq/beer/btcc got in the way tho'

pistol pete

But you didn't have Herbie (Elise) last time you stuffed Herbie (Metro) into a wall -(unless you've done it again...)

Pete....here's a pic. I was trying to upload them to my gallery...but had loads of bother and gave up.

I took the car as a part exchange (I was selling my Fisher Fury...and the boy really wanted it but first had to sell his S1...seemed to make sense at the time). I thought I'd maybe run the car through the summer....do a track night or 2...but, in all honesty, I don't think this is the motor for me. She does sound nice tho'. Fury was a really light and 'point and go' type of thing...but you need to wrestle the TVR round corners a bit more.

I'm actually still waiting on the V5 doc to come through from DVLA....and when it arrives, was planning on shoving it on PistonHeads and Autotrader at £5750 ono...expecting to get beaten down to £5.5K. The car has done 44500 miles...seems to be in good nic taking in to account the age. 1 or 2 stone chips...nothing major. Chassis seems solid enough....engine sounds ok (to me anyway). Just had a new outlet manifold....12mths MOT....just had Oil & filter changed. Last owner had it 4 years....and he seemed a fairly honest dude.

If you want any more info....or better quality pics (cos these aint that good)... then let me know your email address via PM m8.

Andy.

Oh...meant to say.....It's one of the first 20 S1's off the production line too.............in case that's important to you :)

And as you're a forum member......I'd sell it for £5250 to you....

:( Insurance Co want limbs to pay for it, so it's not going to happen... How come that costs more to insure on 5000 mile limited mileage as a 2nd car than an elise, or any number of new expensive fast things doing 20k/year. pile a p15h.

Pete

gorrieman
14-04-2004, 18:37
????

Where did you try for a quote m8 ??

It's a 2nd car for me....but it qualifies for 'Classic' car insurance. I tried Sureterm Direct...and they quoted me £298...limited mileage (needed a Thatcham tho')...and Adrain Flux (who I went with) were £315.

That's compared to my £550 for my ZT with full no claims, and protected. I think you need to be over 25 to get classic car insurance tho'...might be wrong. If I wanted an Elise or Chimaera, I was looking at £600 region. :shake:

No problem tho' mate...if it's too rich for you, I'll just whack it on Autotrader.

Andy.
