Also, a query. My Dad says fro example if I wanted to go and take part from a car, say a spoiler or part from the boot, then they would want me to take the entire boot lid and I dont believe it.

Also there's a Rover specialist on Selina's Lane Dagenham, it's near the Whalebone Lane South end, they usually have most parts there, although they aren't the cheapest, but I think that's because they already have the cars stripped there.

some places are dodgy like that they figure they could earn more money on selling things bulk order its like i spoke to a breaker about the interior mirror lug thingy and he said he will sell it with the whole window

I went down there a couple of months ago, they have downsized quite considerably though. So they may have been getting ready to shut down.

bummer man i do know of 2 scrap yards one is in purfleet just off the A13 and there is another one in harrold hill which i has got rovers in but they are in a poor state due to the lack of exp the people have

the purfleet one is just off new road

as for the harold hill one its just off broxhill road down a dirt road in between a 2 houses

just been to AC Dismantlers and outen car & commercial dismantlers

i can honestly say AC Dismantlers looks like its shutting down there are only a few cars left in there

your better off looking for breakers/scrap yards online mate if they are big enough they should have the internet

if your willing to drive you could allways meet up with simply si he will show you a scrappy near him in kent which personally i found fantastic :D

There's one in Deptford that's really good. Already dismantled and very very organised, not too pricey either.

i used roverbreakers they told me it was brand for a brm grill when i got it the paint was all cracked & the clips broken off the back when i phoned up he wasnt very polite to me so i wouldnt ever use them again but ive used http://www.hawkingevehicles.co.uk/ and they was great !!!!!!

There's a decent breakers in Houghton Conquest near Bedford who specialise in MG Rover stuff. :)

There is one in Hanningfield where i go all the time.. a good few rovers here. To get to it go down the A12 n turn off on the galleywood/billericay exit..then head towards hanningfield and its first left past the petrol station..then first left again.

not technically a scrap yard, but www.hawkingevehicles.co.uk have loads of second hand parts in stock at a reasonable price. I got a bonnet for a 25/ZR for £50, which I was happy with considering everywhere else I asked wanted at least £80!

Not exactally a local scrappy but I use partsgateway (http://partsgateway.co.uk/)quite a bit, never had any problems from the breakers that sell through them. Had a gearbox and 2 alternators (for different rovers) all on next day services
