Hi there,

Does anyone have a cylinder head for a Rover 623?

Cheers,

Mel.

Why do you need one? What's happened John?

'Tis letting oil and water mix.

Actually the head is on a friends car. Believe its a fairly common problem due to thinness of casting in certain areas.

He had an engineering shop attempt a repair which involved welding a tube into the head but this wasn't 100% successful.

He's had absolutely no luck in sourcing a cylinder head at a reasonable price and is now contemplating buying a complete car just to get the head.

If your friend does buy a whole car and wants to get some cash back, let me know I might be interested in a few parts mostly cosmetics so not too worried about engine type.

I've seen the crack in the cylinder head on our customer's 623, right in the middel where it runs at its hottest. Not clever.

£831+VAT for a new head from Rover ain't bad IMO

They might have some old stock they would gladly get rid of cheaply now the 600 has been out of production 3yrs :err:

If you don't ask you don't get
