Went out in 45 today ,didnt seem any different , still banging into drive after selecting drive and back to neutral before gear engaged. Anything else I Can try? also waited for 30 seconds or more before trying it.

Ok, another method perhaps to drive. Hold the car in reverse for say 10 seconds, see what effect that has. What was the oil level like as well?
