Oxfordshire MG Owners Club annual event.
A ‘GRAND DAY OUT’ for FREE on the 6th of June
Oxfordshire MG Owners Club can promise you a ‘Grand Day Out’ at their annual MG event which takes place at the Cotswold Wildlife Park just 2 miles south of Burford on the A40 Oxford to Cheltenham road.
ALL MGs, young or old, are welcome.
Make a note, SUNDAY the 6th of JUNE. The park opens at 10am.
This will be the seventh year that Oxfordshire MGOC have held this event at this fabulous location. More than 250 MGs attended last year and a great day was had by all..
Through the generosity of the Cotswold Wildlife Park, the Oxfordshire club have an arrangement which allows all MGs and their drivers into the event for FREE (passengers pay the normal park entrance of £8) and, as the club do not charge for attendance at the event, MG owners can have a Grand Day Out at NO COST.
Attendance at the event also gives free access to the whole of the Wildlife Park’s attractions and facilities such as a restaurant, bar, shops and play park for the kids. You can even bring your dog along, but keep it on a leash. The tigers may be hungry!
The MG event features a self judging ‘Pride of Ownership’ competition with trophies for the winners (a small entry charge applies) and there is also a 25 mile Cotswold run in the early afternoon.
Further interest is provided by the attendance of staff from the MGOC Headquarters at Swavesey who will be offering MG and club Regalia for sale from their red and white marquee.
For those looking for that spare part for their MG, there will be a host of goodies brought along by Jon Miller, the MG spares specialist from Droitwich.
In addition, the new Oxford MG Dealership, Alexence, will be bringing along some of the new MG ZEDs for all to check out. They are also hoping to bring along the new MG SV supercar on the day .
Why not bring along a picnic and enjoy the day. And while you are at it, clear out the garage of these unwanted MG bits and offer them for sale beside your car. You could make a bob or two.
All in all, it promises to be a ‘Grand Day Out’ at this fabulous venue.
So whether your MG is old or modern, come along and join in the fun.
Oxfordshire MG Owners Club look forward to welcoming you. There is no need to book. Just turn up from 10am onwards and enjoy this Oxfordshire MG event.
If you need further information, call John King on 01993 778597.
