first off i ordered some mintex rear pads for my zr, went to fit them with my grandad, he is saying that a metal clip is missing or something im not sure what he means that make sense to anyone?

second, lowering springs for a zr td any one got any to stay away from? any get good reviews?

3rd got my sdi's but i need to get new washers and the fuel pipes things where do i get these from?

1. Most likely the anti-squeal shim. Some pads come with some sort of sticky pad on the back of the pads which works just as well. If in doubt coat the back of the pads with copper grease.

2. No idea. I've not heard any horror stories.

3. Motor factor will have the fuel leak-off pipe. Landrover/honda/xparts dealers for the OE washers.

I always do, I hate squealing brakes.

so that will be ok then? just fit them without the shim's and they will still be ok?

Should be yes. If the squeal then buy some new shims and fit them. (assuming you mean the shims that fit to the back of the pads).

They are the same spec as petrol models. Will let you know how I get on.. Was gonna get them this month, but i split an intercooler hose on sunday, so will be getting the FMIC a bit sooner than I expected.

Will be interested to see how the car sits on these, pics please!! I have been looking at some Apex one's from camskill that are about £100 inc delivery.. so will be interesting what others are available.
