: Mg6 0mg m?
patpending 16-11-2010, 22:34 If the current reg is "60" the new MG6s can have personalised plates with MG...6...
any ideas?
(other than MG6 0 NEW - which could also mean there aren't any...)
EDIT is this actually MG6 chat? if so should I have put it in 25s ZRs and Streetwises?
1955diesel 17-11-2010, 15:42 I think it sits better in this section, but if you disagree let me know.
The content of this section is going to stay fairly broad for a while until there are some owners. ;)
MG6 0 SIT
that chinglish btw
Man in the Car 17-11-2010, 17:02 If the MG6 goes on sale in March (AROnline is quoting Guy Jones as saying on sale in Q1, for delivery commencing Q2), sadly, there won't be any on a 60 plate (apart from a handful of press cars in February perhaps) - from March 1st 2011 they will be '11' plate.
For September 2011 there is the possibility of
MG6 1S OK
MG6 1CED
MG6 1ZOD (for a special edition a la Mini 'Paul Smith' or Metro 'Moritz' perhaps)
MG6 1 HAV
MG6 1TEM
MG6 1 DAY (for the dreamers)
MG6 1MAM (for any self respecting Islamists)
MG6 1FFY (errr.....no!)
MG6 1CKY (perhaps not!!!)
traineecollins 17-11-2010, 17:54 Mm, Will it be out for 60 reg?
I hate it when I see a MG or Rover with A123 HGF. :P lol

Dont you have to order an "MG" plate as a special anyway in which case it makes no difference if it is out in time or not?

No.
What I ment was that you can't buy a car with an MG plate, they all cost you an extra £799 from the DVLA.
Man in the Car 18-11-2010, 08:49 MG is one of the standard area identifiers for Manchester; does Manchester licencing office not issue registrations with the MG prefix?
andycolm 18-11-2010, 09:52 The word on the street is that the MG6 has failed to gain type approval for sale in the UK, so you may be waiting a while for those cars....

No, it doesn't.
Just get the car registered in Manchester...simple.

I think they are all reserved for MG enthusiasts willing to pay the DVLA an extra £799, except for the ones that aren't allowed like "MG6 0 GOD".
Benny Dub 18-11-2010, 10:36 haha for £679 you can have:
MG6 0MFG
hahaha that would be AWESOME!

The 'word on the street' is also that Rovers are unreliable crap ;)
Without a substantive source, it is simply rumour mongering.

Pat - not all forums come up in google :)
patpending 18-11-2010, 21:17 Pat - not all forums come up in google :)yes, Sidney Wang could have posted it in General Chat...
...this means that no-one else on the entire interrent has repeated that news on an indexed forum!
Or does it?
littlechicken 19-11-2010, 13:41 The word on the street is that the MG6 has failed to gain type approval for sale in the UK, so you may be waiting a while for those cars....
The MG6 now has Association of British Insurers codings for the MG6 5 and 4 door models, grouping will follow in the new year, so I think the word on the street is wrong
