Hi all, the heater blower motor has burnt out on my W reg 141IS. I obtained a replacement from the internet from a former rover dealer but my garage says that is doesn't fit.

Are there any differences in motor spec over the years or ?

Cheers,
Bucko

Do you know the part number of the one the garage have tried to fit?

It should be JGC100140

LHD is JGC100150

Bucko,
I have had 3 workshop manuals out from the 95-2000+ ie from the Honda shape to later 400 then 45 and all seem to have the same motor assembly. Does your garage know how to fit them? It is quite simple.

200/400 to 95 use JGC10001 or JGC100120

Sometimes part number differences are due to manufacturer/supplier changes. Get the old one and compare it. Valeo and Smiths spring to mind.

Well I got 2 motors in the end; one from Montys in Barry and another from Rovercity in Leeds. They had different fittings on the back but the one form Montys fitted just fine. (Oblong fitting on the back rather than a fan shaped fitting from the one from Rovercity).

Not sure if I was sold the wrong part to be honest? I queried it and was told the back parts are interchangable. Couldn't see how to do that though.

Anyway job sorted.

Cheers,
