Just realised my insurance quote includes that it has a thatcham two immobiliser but on thatchams website it only says from 02 onwards they do, nothing at all about 01 plates.

Anyone have any idea?

You will have to tell your insurance company it hasn't got that one.

Before 02 they didn't rate the Rover system. However your alarm unit only has three small differences from the later unit. However it's not worth changing them as you still won't get the discount and one change was a reduced range on the fob.

I remember back in the day there was a spaight of MG and Rover thefts. So insurance companies started asking for updated security, trackers and security certificates etc.

Yeah I gave them a ring and got told it has cat 2 as standard but is just not listed so all is okay :-)
