Not sure about to 100, IIRC the gearing is marginally different on the BRM than the Vi and the BRM was fractionally slower because of this.... :)

Wierd, i wonder why they made the BRM slower ? (i had heard it was half a second slower as well, but wanted to ask people in the know).

My BRM was slightly faster than my mates Vi before he sold it, but neither are/were standard - he was running 17s for starters, and mine's running a 52mm TB/ITG filter. I think officially, the BRM is a bit slower to 60 because of the gearing, and larger wheels, but to 100, I think the BRM is supposed to have the edge. The BRM also has the Torsen diff which apparently affects the acceleration times, and it weighs a tad more too.

When it comes down to it though, no two cars are the same...

not sure about 0-100, but 0-60 they are practically the same.
apparently the vi does it in 7.4
the brm in 7.5.

so they are as good as similar anyway.

found a site stating quarter mile times.
the 200vi does the quarter mile in 15.6
the brm does it in 16 dead.

so they are basically the same. all i would say is it depends on whether u prefer the looks and interiors of the brm over a vi.

brm is slightly quicker to 100 because it hits it in 3rd, where the vi uses 4th.
the vi is slightly quicker to 60 tho.

also bear in mind the brm is heavier, but the "sportyness" u mention has more to do with the handling and overall setup of the car.
