Shame but suspect they will be seen as abit long in the tooth for the UK market now, was just thinking that the 75 was released some 14 years ago now. Still look good but guess I am a bit biased.

I try and forget that on purpose, didn't like the Streetwise (apart from the interior) and I don't like this lol.

Let's face it, it was a trend setter and started a new style that even larger companies couldn't ignore.

Yep indeed it was, Top Gear mocked, but car manufactures didn't. I just don't like the grey bumpers, remind me of older cars from the 80's and 90's, but they do seem to appeal to younger drivers.

i love how the fashions are going full-circle. if health and safety weren't so rediculous then we'd soon be having chrome bumpers like the e-type jag and the original Beetle.

i was hoping the bubble shape MG3SW would come over... guess i'll be keeping my money for a bit longer.

And thanks to the jacked up suspension on the Streetwise, it also attracted the older drivers too.

Tbh, the streetwise was one of the things MGR got right. I remember them being VERY protective of the project whilst it was in development. The streetwise name actually leaked out at one point, leading to another forum being asked to censor the name! ()

Just bear in mind that what we see in China doesn't necessarily have to make it over here, the UK is no longer the default market for MG.

That was the intention of the Streetwise, but as Steve (Childs... so as not to get confused  ) said, the older generation sought it also for the ease of 'in and out' as it was higher from the floor then the standard 25.

As seen in the press photos, majority of them include younger generations: http://www.mgrover.at/rover-streetwise.html

these small cars are marketed as being for young people - but who wants a nicely-sized shopping car with a bit of style and has the wonga to pay for it? The Renault Twingo was aggressively marketed as a stylish young woman's car but I read its main buyer group was grannies (women who had once been young, appreciated the style, and, above all, had the money!)
