Re-listing this and I have since fitted a new cylinder head gasket and timing belt. It must go as my dad has just bought an MG ZS project and we now have too many cars, I bought this car to save it and that is what I have done.

1998 S reg Rover 414i, flame red, 121k miles - MOT until JAN 2012, TAX until 30th June 2011
New cylinder head gasket, inlet manifold gasket and timing belt just fitted (good job done with genuine parts eg. payen)
4 brand new tyres
new front lower balljoints fitted
brand new catalytic converter and exhaust mid section
new rear trailing arm bushes and a new section of brake pipe fitted at MOT.
As you can see a fair amount of time/money has been spent on this car. I also fitted a replacment gearbox as the old one was knackered/extremely noisey and fitted a new clutch aswell as the old one juddered absolutely terribly, its now fine although there is a hint of shudder every now and then - weather its because its a cheap clutch, or perhaps because simply its an older/higher mileage car so the engine mounts are'nt what they once were I dont know...could just be my driving style, all I can say is that it is minor - thats if you notice it at all.

Aside from that the only not so good things about the car is that it isnt the most immaculate of 400's - a bit tatty in places which I have tried to show in the pictures, and also the exhaust is a bit raspy (sounds like front pipe although this looks brand new)

Now sold and gone, shame it diddnt go to a fellow enthusiast/someone off here. Even though it was by no means the nicest of Rovers, or indeed of 400's, she will be missed in a way.

Bizarrely I think the hardest place to sell a Rover is on a Rover website (I guess it should be called bmw.org lol)
