: New Computer for Sale - AMD XP3000+
Evening guys,
as ive upgraded my computer (again) i've got a couple of spare parts which ive put together into a computer - a nice one at that.
The only things that aren't new are the RAM and the 128mb Nvidea Graphics card, the rest is brand spanking new.
Ive currently got it up on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5115043498&category=51144&sspagename=rvi:1:3
its an AMD Xp3000+ Barton 512k L2 Cache processor
blue LED CPU fan
512mb of the used RAM
8x Dual Layer DVD-RW
128mb Used Nvidea GeForce4 mx440 graphics card
motherboard with 5.1 surround sound
80gb Hard Drive
Nice black modified case
its currently at £300 but im only looking for £360 + p&p(which would be good for me and the person buying it)
Any Takers?
Mike12345 11-08-2004, 10:18 Blimey, id like to know what your new PC is like!
its criminal that this computer im selling is better than the one im using, pretty much. My processor is slower by a long way!
i'm just trying to make some money so i can upgrade graphics card and...eventually, go 64bit.
Just offloading these two parts (Ram and gfx) cos those are the bits im updating in mine, so built them into a nice brand spanking new amd system which - hopefully, makes it easier to sell.
Thats provided anyone wants it!! ha ha!
anyone?
waiting for a reply from f1boy, but anyone else interested? theres 1 day left on the auction so feel free to message me with counter offers or anything...
Mike12345 13-08-2004, 22:52 Where abouts in Stafford are you!?
You goto Staffs Uni at all?
i dont go to staffs uni, i go to uni at UEA in norwich, but im on the baswich/walton side of stafford, so only round the corner from the uni really.
why?
Mike12345 14-08-2004, 11:26 With it saying Stafford thought u may have been at the uni:)
really, does anyone want this? it didnt sell on ebay (i know the link says it did but it didnt) so im still looking to sell... only 360 notes! will be open to counter-offers though. po-lease i could use selling this for the money as im due back at uni in september
Ben Cole 17-08-2004, 09:47 Problem is, you built a computer to sell all the bits.....I am interested in the bits. Would you be prepared to break up again?
Mike12345 17-08-2004, 10:03 If you really struggle to sell i'll take it off your hands, im only down the road.
Did your buyer pull out, or did you do the old classic of gettin a mate to bid it up for you!? :err:
well i may know the person who was bidding... hehehe
i havent 'actually' got the system, i was going to wait for someone to want it, then build it for selling it etc, cant really afford to straight up invest the capital in it. just trying to raise some money for a Rad9800 and a gig of ram, by trying to offload my old gfx and ram in a new system... cunning :S
well the rams all pc2100
2 x 128mb
1 x 256mb
and the graphics card is the Nvidea (which i can never spell) GeForce4 mx440 128mb. Its not too bad really, plays Max Payne 2 well and Halo and NFS Underground (which is tarnished by not having a R25 or MGZR but never mind) but im after a gfx card thats going to nail Doom3 and HalfLife 2...
figured it easier to flog a full system than parts, plus you can add a tad more markup on a full system :>
Ben Cole 17-08-2004, 10:42 Glad you answered. Won't ever be buying anything off you.
u do have to admit he was being honest.

Eventually.
I'm being honest too. I thought he was just trying to get rid of old stuff, not make a profit out of unwitting forum members.
