Found this advertised for a Hatchback but don't think it is.

EbaY Item no. 220869543275

Messaged seller and asked to deffo confirm it's for a hatch, but no reply, as i didn't know hatch had 60/40 split rear seat and Headrests !!!! I think it's a saloon interior !!!!

I'm also concerned at the number of sellers who don't seem to know what their parts will fit, how many times you seen "will fit all 25's, 45's, 400's and TF's" for things like interiors and steering wheels etc etc and then add "please ensure it will fit your car before buying" get-out at the bottom in small letters which to me means they're only guessing it will fit all or any.

If you don't know it will deffo fit a particular model THEN DON'T SAY IT WILL (OR MAY) !!!!!!!

I would put money on that being out of a saloon.

Wonder what to use sellers own words "other Rovers" it will fit cos i can't think of any off hand. :dunno:

Also, couldn't work out what he's saying at the bottom about it being a clip and not hinge fitting ?

Leather interiors for 45 hatchbacks are very hard to come by and that certainly looks like a saloon interior to me!

I've been on the lookout for a leather interior set for my 45 hatch for ages and they're ALWAYS out of a saloon.
I'm pretty sure rear headrests are from saloon...

it says there the rear bench is "clip fitting, not hinged"

every hatchback rover ive had has been a hinged rear bench, and the saloons all clip fitting

My ZS has 60/40 and headrests in the back, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was legit!

It just ensures it shows up on as many searches as possible, even if it's no use to the person doing the search.

Must confess I did something similar when I flogged the original wheels off off of my Ti.

both saloons and hatchs get 60/40 re seats. I think its only the high spec one that get rear head rests and the entry level models have a solid one piece rear bench.

PS, selling heated seats and door cards from a (54 reg saloon) 45 club for £50. rear bench is 60/40 no head rests. Will post pictures on the for sale items soon.

Also for sellers its very hard to know the exacte model the part will fit, theres plenty of parts list for only one car which is wrong. theres a set of 1980's vw polo steel wheels listed as metro which has been relisted about 5 times now as the seller is adement they are metro wheels.

Seller has replied, he says he's not sure if they are for the hatch, he was told they were when he bought (but i assume never fitted) them. So who really knows lol.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, however don't the rear seats have belt buckle clips on the hatch but not on the saloon ?

Yes Roverman, that statement is certainly true of the hatchback and saloon I currently own - the saloon has no clips to hold the buckle end of the belt.

Surely that is the way to identify the seats then ?

Problem is photo on Ebay doesn't clarify this.
