Now that Land Rovers Solihull plant has been 'saved' (IF the workforce vote the right way), it seems that r1ngpieces are twitching at Jag now....a company that makes 4 models across 3 sites!! (LR makes 4 models on one site, but at present, not to the same quality!!!).

Looks like Ford will pull the plug. Pulling the plug on Cov is like ripping the heart out of Jag. Furthermore Jaguar is heavily associated with Cov, even the new Cov City Stadium is going to be called the Jaguar arena. Personally I'm gutted for Cov as I have friends who works there and as Cov's car industry seems to be spiralling into terminal decline. First Rover pulled out, then Triumph now Jag. Loosing Triumph was bad enough but now Jag too! :ouch:
If Jag workers march I'll be marching with them!

Just read that they are cutting 1,150 jobs put keeping the plant open - is that good? Obviously not good for those losing their jobs but it seems that at least the plant remains open. I'm not sure, is this pretty much what was expected?

Browns Lane get to keep making the wood bits, that is it! The BBC also seems to think Castle Bromwich will get shut down soon. Jaguar is no more!

Can't see Castle Brom shutting down for a while, they're moving the tracks for the models at Browns lane into it, they wouldn't be thinking of shutting it down if they were doing that.
