: A SORE THUMB !

Now don't get me wrong, because I think the R60 TCV looks fantastic.......BUT......

When it arrives it will stand out like a SORE THUMB next to the 25 and 75.

I hate to use BMW as an example, but when they launch a new car, it always seems to gel with the rest of the range, regardless of the age of other models within the range.

How long will we have to wait before the 25 and 75 get the same treatment ?

Also, someone mentioned that there 'wont be any walnut' in the R60. I hope there is. Granted the car is very modern in appearance externally, but this does not mean the interior shoud be a mass of plastic.

Wood and Chrome please......and plenty of it !!!!!

I believe the 25 and the 75 are getting facelifts next year which should incorporate TCV features. As for wooden interiors I like them too , but I think this will be on the options list along with many other interior options as per Monogram. A case of everyone getting what they want which I suppose sells more cars as there seem to be as many that hate wood as like it.

I think wood, chrome and leather can be an integral part of the TCV experience. For inspiration, they could do worse than look at the Range Rover - which successfully manages to combine traditional materials within a contemporary setting.

and a damn fine job they've made of the R-R, too. Just shows modern & traditional sytling can mix, with great effect :)

I like the RR very much and i hope that the TCV can be more like that. For example, i am not so keen on the frontlight of the TCV, partly i am sad at the lost of the twin circular headlight, but also i dont like the two xeron light align in vertically. Maybe to follow the stlye of the RR is more suited tp my taste, or maybe even the headlight of the Bentley LeMan car. I absolutely love the style of the teo headlight.

Also, we can learn a thing or two from the RR dashboard....

Hey guys, How could the NEW RANGE ROVER not be great?, it's the same people who did the 75 (in and out) and the MINI's interior. I think you're right about R-R's dashboard, especially the "Wood treatment" it's very Scandanavian. Should Rover feel compelled (they ought to) to offer wood in their new car, it would sit much better with the themes exhibited on the R60 concept than say... "BURL WALNUT"
