Do you think we should tell him the MG6 engine is a completely new engine and has no relation to the K series which suffered all the problems with head gasket failure.

Or even the fact that K-seal wont actually fix your HGF either
Just because it's a new overhaul of an old engine, doesn't mean it isn't susceptible to HGF. ANY engine can get HGF.
K-Seal won't "fix" a head gasket, but it has been PROVEN to seal small leaks which can of course come from the head gasket. His item description doesn't have any issues whatsoever from what I can see.

It does as far as i'm concerned.
You state that any engine can suffer from HGF but how many have and from which manufacturers?
His heading: Radiator Matrix Head Gasket for MG MGF MGTF MG6 ZR ZS ZT fix
My perception of that heading is that the cars above all suffer from and can be fixed by the product he is advertising or selling which is not necessarily true because the MG6 does not necessarily suffer from HGF. He seems to imply it will, possibly by associating (which i think he is) the MG6 car/engine with MG Rover cars K series engine.

think you should also tell him it doesn't work just clogs the rad and matrix and nothing works better than a new gasket end of , Close ebay open google grab big box of tissues find decent porn site pay £7 for a 3 day unlimted access pass beat your meat senseless for the 3 days , It still works out cheaper and its more fun than cleaning out the entire cooling system and block/ when you have to strip it down to do what you should of done in the first place lol!.

I think you're looking a bit too deeply into this. I doubt the seller is suggesting the MG6 suffers from HGF. The inclusion of 'MG6' will merely bring up his product when someone searches 'MG6' on ebay. It's called marketing.
Plenty of other cars are known to suffer from HGF but it's publicised nowhere near as much as with the K-series even if it does occur more often than average. There's certain small Fiat, Vauxhall, VW and Honda engine known to pop their gaskets.

Indeed you are correct, i was just playing devil's advocate really but why does he feel the need to associate the MG6 with the (now old) K series.....
Funnily enough I was looking at a GM Northstar website today. It seems to suffer from HGF as well. The K series is certainly not the only modern engine to have this problem.

I must admit the way it struck me was the assumption as it "was an MG" automatically it would have HGF.
Given that as I've said many times before might this simply be a stigma an MG will be tarred with until completely new cars/engines appear?

For gods sake. People are branding the new cars before they are even run in.

Will take a long time before that stigma has gone mate. :(
