Hi, I am the proud owner of a MG ZR 120 (or at least I was until an anglian water van decided to customise my front end) anyway, my car is now residing at a repair centre waiting for a new front bumper from MGR, which has taken so far six weeks, and there is still no sign of one. Not only that but the supplier even refuses to give an estimate of the date that one will be available.
Has anyone had a similar experience? does anyone know who I could call at MGR to hurry it up as their website gives no contact details?

For info, I have contacted MG Rover help desk, if anyone needs to do this they will need the following information, where has the part been ordered from, the part number and how long they have been waiting.
the helpdesk passes this onto the parts dept who then have to contact the supplier.
the supplier is then given 48 hrs to respond (even if it is just to say they haven't got any) then the helpdesk say they try to source the part elsewhere, this is unlikely in my case as it is a bumper I am waiting for.
Lesson to be learned? don't hit anything!

I had a similar problem with my ZS bumper when it was crunched by my neighbour six hours after I took delivery. After waiting three weeks I got on to the MG helpline, with part number and details of the supplier they chased it up and I think I complained so much that they eventually sourced one from the production line. Its worth being persistent. Originally I was given the excuse that there was a problem with the trim supplier and that MG-R had had to find a new one as B*W had refused to place orders with the existing one if they continued to supply MG-R. Not sure how much truth there was in this, but this was back in November so I would have expected it to be sorted by now.

Significant action has (and is) being taken as we speak (yes, 24/7) to get the MGR parts back to how it was back along

Hi, this is ron,(the man minus his MG ZR front bumper), needless to say it has now been 11 weeks and still no sign of a new bumper for me. MG rover helpdesk has proved to be a waste of time (and money). they have never contacted me with any answer to the problem and I have all but given up on ever seeing my car again. Buy another MG? NEVER!!!
