I know it is an unusual request but if you have the parts in stock, could you please have a look at a starter motor for a mini and a starter motor for an MG metro.

The request is because I am having clearance problems to the bulkhead of my kit car, which as the engine in the back and the starter in your back.

I believe that the mini starter may not stick out as far when on the engine. I think there may be an extra piece on the mg starter which is causing me problems.

Your best bet is to ask a local motor factor or go and have a look at cars in a scrapyard 8)

If you're struggling for clearance, why not try the more compact inertia type starter, as fitted to earlier Minis & Metros
