My R reg Rover 214 Si has developed a funny knocking noise. This seems to happen all the time no matter temp the engine is. It's coming from the engine sumwhere but i aint sure where. I really hope it's not broke cos ive only had it 4 months.

Have you checked the oil lately?

It might be worth checking.....

Otherwise, it could be anything in the engine bay....a good place to start is to remove the auxiliary drivebelt and see if the noise disappears, pointing towards a noisy PAS pump, alternator or a/c compressor >=(

Any workshop should be able to identify the noise quickly and accurately.
