Just thought I'd let everyone know about this company, they dont advertise anywhere except yellow pages and I'd never heard of them but they are right on my doorstep and seem good guys as they dropped what work they were doing to help a guy who turned up unanounced because he couldn't get into his car. owner grabbed an obd reader, a plip tester and went to sort the guy out

Seem like first class guys!!
I take that back, kept making promises for when car was going to be back and i was always given some excuse.
Was promised a courtesy car i didn't get when promised apparently it came in and he let it straight back out to someone else after promising it me. When it eventually materialised the car was not insured for company use and I'd have had to use my own cover which i dont have.
Came to pay once it was *fixed* and the price had gone up by £50 for a clutch he'd fitted from a donor car that i hadn't asked for. complained and got price o what was agreed and paid, got halfway down street and check engine light came on, this is a problem that wasn't fixed........
10 minutes later he'd fixed that problem, the one rover noe bosch could solve..he knows his stuff
Overall, work done, good, customer service poor..and now i get to the bad bit
Guy physically threatened me on 2 occasions with violence, once when he was going to give me a coutesy car because i'd driven my bro's car away and he said i thrashed it, if i did that to his car he would take me out into the yard and give me a pasting.
2nd occasion when the car wasn't fixed and i said so he jumped in drivers seat and drove along looking ****ed off and when check engine light came on he moaned about it *appearing* this was a problem we knew it had when it went in and I'd ask to be fixed. and he decided i was being awkward and decided yet again to threaten me.

no i dont work for them. ive just been taking my car to them for a long time now and have never had any problems with them at all. i think its unfair that one person has had a problem with them and made them out to be a rubbish company when ifact there probably one of the best rover garages in yorkshire.
I took my car there once to have a mystery emissions problem solved.
They told me my lambda sensor was duff (it wasn't it was a brand new bosch one that was later proved to work correctly).
They told me my cat was rattling as it was breaking up (It wasn't, the cat was actually completely missing but the heat shield was rattling I do admit).
They said that they had solved the problem (infact they hadn't).
Again when I came to collect the car the price had mysteriously gone up which I refused to pay the extra on. They refused to budge until I got out a spare key got in the car started the engine wound the window down and said you can take it or leave it at which they changed their mind, took the money and gave my my key back.
In short I'd not touch them with a bargepole again. They came recommended by my local motorfactor but I soon put them straight about their recommendation.

Haha, that sounds like something I'd do. Thanks for the heads up.
