I'm thinking of installing a Sony CDX-T69 multi-changer to my '97 216 Sli,the car has the standard fit R860 radio-cass and this unit along with the interface should fit quite nicely under the front seat, I am told the dash display and the steering wheel controls are also compatible . So has anyone else had one fitted and what are they like ?

Milo - I'm sure it's an OK unit but personally I can't stand the awful beeping noise the Sony units make when you power down the car (to remind you to take the front panel off, I presume..)

Alpine, every time for me.

You can turn the beeps off ;) .

Agreed though, Apline stuff is the dog's danglies.

Hi Milo,

Seriously mate, change the headunit for a decent CD unit (Alpine or Kenwood) it'll sound far better than just adding a changer. Plus either is cd changer compatible and will mean you can use it in the next car you get......
