: Stop start Rover 214 SEI

My 214 loses power suddenly then refuses to restart, after about 15 minutes it may restart but is only good for about 10-15 miles then loses power stops and refuses to start.

Have changed the ignition coil, new one didn't work, put old one in and it started but continues to falter etc.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Try replacing the rotor arm, distributor cap and crank sensor.

All prime culprits and relatively cheap to replace.
