I went to pick up my car today from a local garage after it went in to get a new water pump fitted. When i returned home with it i opened the bonnet to see if i could spot the new pump. I looked at the header tank and it was empty!! So my first thought was that the pump had been fitted wrong or something. I looked around a bit more and discovered that they had forgot to replace the bleed screw for the cooling system. Luckily i only live a few miles form the garage.

So i will be calling them first thing in the morning.

Does anyone know if a new waterpump would be visible, or is it concealed somewhere?

Does anyone know if a new waterpump would be visible, or is it concealed somewhere?K series petrol? I think it's quite well hidden under the cam belt & cam belt cover - perhaps visible from underneath.

I'm not 100% on that, but I did dig out a Haynes to check :-) Useless diagrams as normal ;-)

You can tell by looking down the back of teh block, only a small amount is visible but it is possible.
