I have a rover 75 and when reversing there is a squealing noise can anybody tell me what the problem is

Got round to doing this - had two spare calipers I did a test run on. Both seized handbrake mechanisms!

One was a standard, straight from factory, 10 year old caliper. The other was a fairly new reconditioned caliper I bought for 90 quid including exchange for old one.

Unscrewed the main piston from the caliper, looking down into the chamber:

Well Mellows probs the best car ive ever owned.
theres just something about it thats such a adiction.
i get in it and the devil horns pop out.
plus im one of these people who likes to drive round town showing off/posing lol.

the car has its bad bits, its not as smart as i want it due to paint chips and still signs of the impact it had in a car park.

i really dont know why i love the car so much but i do, weird really.
